The SNCF Foundation becomes a Group and gains new momentum

nl_fvrier_visuel_v2A new dimension, a new ambition for 2016 – 2020. Twenty years after its creation, the SNCF Foundation is going even further in its crusade for a better co-existence.

DIVERSITY IS AN ASSET

In its role as a major multimodal mobility player in cities and regions across the world, the SNCF brings people together, in all their diversity. Since 2009, the SNCF Foundation has focused on making these differences a shared wealth, backing more than 800 projects every year. Better co-existence is the central focus for 2016 – 2020.

3 CORE PROJECTS, 3 DRIVING FORCES

The SNCF Foundation supports projects that foster diversity, exchange, and citizenship in three core areas of co-existence: education, to help young people find their place in society; culture, to awaken the mind and the senses; and solidarity, to help everyone to live together in harmony.

The SNCF Foundation anchors its actions in the heart of local communities, thanks to 22 regional representatives who select projects closely adapted to local issues. The Foundation believes that we are stronger together, and promotes co-construction between associations, as well as with other companies. Employees are encouraged to play an active role in solidarity initiatives, bringing a greater sense of meaning to their work.

A PROMISING GROUP DIMENSION

SNCF Mobilités, SNCF Réseau, SNCF Logistics, and Keolis join SNCF and bring a new, wider dimension to the SNCF Foundation. This union boosts the Foundation’s budget from 3 to 5 million euros per year, expands its scope of action internationally, and extends the skill-sharing programme across the SNCF Group.

Marianne Eshet calls on all parties to embrace the SNCF Foundation’s new ambition: “Co-existence is not something that is decreed: it must be built. We need to act now!”
